VIFC-HCMC AND THE EMBASSY OF FINLAND DISCUSS INNOVATION, FINTECH, AND COOPERATION OPPORTUNITIES

On 7 August 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huan, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC), held a working meeting with H.E. Mr. Pekka Voutilainen, Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam, and Mr. Dzung Bui, Senior Advisor at the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam.

The meeting focused on the development of the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and the initiatives currently being implemented. It also provided an opportunity for the Embassy of Finland to gain a deeper understanding of VIFC-HCMC's development vision and the role of the International Financial Centre in Vietnam's broader financial sector development strategy.
In addition, the two sides discussed Vietnam's innovation ecosystem, as well as the ongoing digital transformation in the fintech and financial sectors. The Finnish delegation shared Finland's experience in fostering innovation, applying advanced technologies, and driving digital transformation in finance, while introducing successful models and best practices from Finland.
The meeting also explored potential areas of cooperation between VIFC-HCMC and Finnish enterprises, with the aim of strengthening connections, promoting knowledge sharing, and advancing collaboration in innovation, financial technology, and digital finance.
