On July 18, 2026, the Financial Roundtable took place in New York, gathering investors with 20 to 30 years of experience in the Vietnamese market, alongside many organizations exploring first-time investment opportunities.

Delegates shared positive views on Viet Nam's economic outlook, recognizing recent reforms and viewing the VIFC as a mechanism that can help expand market access, connect capital flows, and develop financial services to international standards.

  • Warburg Pincus: One of the world's oldest and largest private equity funds, headquartered in New York, continuing its interest in developing real estate investment trusts.
  • Morgan Stanley: A leading US investment bank and wealth management firm, together with Vanquour Global, a New York-based family office wealth management firm, both showing interest in wealth management and family office services.
  • Haitong Securities: One of China's largest securities companies, headquartered in Shanghai, proposing to boost capital raising for Vietnamese businesses and promote cooperation between stock exchanges.

Investors also suggested further improving certain operating conditions, particularly credit rating criteria for foreign banks and the mechanism for transferring profits out of Viet Nam.

A consistent message throughout the discussion was that Viet Nam needs to strengthen its presence and communication on Wall Street, building a stronger, clearer, and more consistent voice for the international investor community.

The discussions at the Financial Roundtable provided practical suggestions for VIFC-HCMC to further refine its mechanisms, develop products, and expand its network connecting with the global financial market.
