VIFC: PAVING THE WAY FOR CAPITAL FLOWS AND STRENGTHENING LEGAL CONFIDENCE

Posted on 06/10/2026

The Viet Nam International Financial Center (VIFC) not only attracts international banks, investment funds, and financial institutions, but also creates channels to direct this capital into Vietnam’s economy through lending, direct investment, advisory services, underwriting, and global fundraising.

To make medium- and long-term capital flows work effectively, the VIFC needs to develop a strong secondary market along with modern registration, depository, clearing, and settlement systems. High market liquidity will help reduce risks, make trading easier, and increase the appeal of cross-border financial products.

A clear, consistent, and enforceable legal framework serves as the foundation for building investor confidence. Key mechanisms regarding dispute resolution, collateral assets, bankruptcy, arbitration, and the enforcement of judgments are continuing to improve.

In addition, a high-quality workforce with expertise in international finance, law, technology, and risk management is an essential condition for running complex financial products and services, meeting global standards, and earning the trust of international investors.

When capital channels, market liquidity, human talent, and the legal framework are developed together, the Viet Nam International Financial Center can serve as an effective bridge connecting global capital with the development needs of Vietnamese enterprises and the wider economy.
