APPROVAL OF ELECTION RESULTS FOR VICE CHAIRMAN OF HO CHI MINH CITY PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE

On the morning of September 29, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung signed Decision No. 1869/QD-TTg approving the election results of Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu as Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the 2026–2031 term.

Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu is currently a Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies (HIDS), and Chairman of the Executive Agency of the Viet Nam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC).

Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu (42 years old, hometown: Go Cong Dong District, Tien Giang Province, now part of Dong Thap Province) holds a PhD in International Political Economy, a Master's degree in Sociology (specializing in globalization, internationalization, and governance), a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (European Studies), and an Advanced Certificate in Political Theory. He has extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic management at Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

In December 2022, Mr. Vu was elected Vice Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies. By August 2024, he was appointed Director of the Institute.

Since October 2025, Mr. Truong Minh Huy Vu has served as a Member of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term, Chairman of the Executive Agency of the Viet Nam International Financial Center in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC), and a Deputy of the 16th National Assembly.
